SWDC Configuration Analyst

The Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) Modeling and Simulation Software (MSS) at Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Configuration Analyst on the SWDC Configuration Management team out of Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

What You’ll Get to Do:
Northrop Grumman Space sector is seeking a Configuration Analyst located in Colorado Springs, CO. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s SWDC MSS Configuration Management team.

Roles and Responsibilities include:
o Assist in the implementation of program Configuration Management plans, procedures, and work instructions Assist in the maintenance of product configuration baselines
o Assist in software build and release management functions
o Assist in the management of configuration change documentation describing baselined software, firmware, hardware and drawings
o Assist in the verification of software and hardware against configuration as-built technical procedures and drawings
o Interface with customers to address CM/DM issues and to detect, prevent and/or minimize the impact of quality escapes to delivered product
o Support the conduct of product and process evaluations in accordance with customer and corporate requirements for MAP Assessments, AS9100 and/or SEI CMMI compliant processes
o Assist in life cycle Configuration Status Accounting
o Maintain databases for tracking Engineering Change Requests and Configuration Control Board activities
o Participate in process improvement activities; contribute suggestions for adapting policy to situations and update processes and procedures as required
o Assist with implementation of Data Management Plan, procedures, and work instructions
o Coordinate, track and deliver contractual and non-contractual data for multiple contract task orders
o Assist in writing of technical and non-technical documentation for program deliverables as needed
o Maintain databases for tracking deliverables and non-deliverables
o Create working templates to ensure all deliverables and program documentation are consistent and properly marked
o Interface with various functional organizations to ensure Configuration Management requirements and expectations are understood and accomplished
o Assist in conducting events such as training to ensure adherence to Configuration Management processes.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
o Bachelors’ Degree with 3 Years Configuration experience OR 7 years of experience in lieu of degree; Masters’ Degree with 1 Year experience
o Proficiency in Microsoft Products
o Ability to work as part of a team to support accomplishment of team goals
o Active Secret Clearance Required
o Hardware and/or Software Configuration Management

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
o Working knowledge of MIL-HDBK-61 (Configuration Management Guidance)
o Working knowledge of DoD Data Item Descriptions (DIDs)
o Experience working with Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
o AS9100 / ISO 9000 experience
